Typically, our end-to-end import process takes between 6 to 10 weeks for sea freight from Europe or Asia. This includes 1 week for sourcing and order processing, 4 to 6 weeks for transit, and approximately 2 weeks for customs clearance at the Port of Douala. For urgent components, we utilize air freight, which reduces the total lead time to 10 to 14 days.
For major infrastructure contracts, we prefer utilizing an Irrevocable and Confirmed Letter of Credit (L/C) at sight. This provides a bank-guaranteed payment framework that protects the supplier’s interest while ensuring that client only releases funds once all shipping documents and quality certifications are verified by our bank.
For urgent spare parts or low-volume orders, we typically settle 100% in advance via Wire Transfer (SWIFT) to expedite the handling and shipping process, ensuring minimal downtime for our site operations.
We provide real-time visibility for all our international shipments. As soon as your equipment is dispatched, we share a Master Bill of Lading (MBL) for sea freight or an Air Waybill (AWB) for urgent parts. You can track these directly on the carrier’s portal (Maersk, MSC, or DHL). Additionally, we provide a dedicated tracking link through our freight forwarding partner to monitor the customs clearance status at the Port of Douala.
